(“Virginia Hills” or the “Company“) (TSX VENTURE:VHO) announces that Tracie Noble, Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer of the Company has resigned from her position as an officer of the Company effective today. The Board of Virginia Hills would like to thank Ms. Noble for her dedicated service to the Company.
The Board of Directors has appointed Ms. Adeline Martin as Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer. Ms. Martin has over 20 years of financial, taxation and administrative experience with junior to intermediate, publicly-traded oil and gas producers. Ms. Martin previously served as Manager, Finance, Tax & Treasury for five years at Chinook Energy Inc. Prior thereto, Ms. Martin held various management and senior financial roles with several public companies including Canadian Phoenix Resources Corp., Action Energy Inc., Rock Energy Inc., Storm Energy Inc. and Avid Oil & Gas Ltd., focusing on corporate reorganization, risk management and financial reporting. She is a Chartered Professional Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Saskatchewan.
In addition, Virginia Hills would like to announce the appointment of Ms. Jennifer Scharnau as Controller of the Company. Ms. Scharnau has more than 18 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, and had previously served as the Controller of Production Plus Energy Services Inc. (formerly TriAxon Oil Corp.) for a period of six years. Prior thereto, Ms. Scharnau held various senior financial roles with several private and public oil and gas companies. She is a Certified General Accountant.
