This event reimagines the beloved radiothon that took place from 2000 to 2014, blending nostalgia with modern giving opportunities. Cottage Care Day aims to raise awareness about the vital services provided at Children’s Cottage Society’s new Child and Family Centre. After a decade of planning and development, the Centre opened in April 2024 and is now fully operational.
This state-of-the-art facility features Calgary’s only Crisis Nursery, designed to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children while parents address urgent needs, ensuring that families receive the support they require during times of crisis.
Since 1986, the Children’s Cottage Society has helped families cope with and overcome challenges, building on their strengths and turning adversity into possibility. Recently recognized as one of Charity Intelligence’s Top 10 Impact Canadian Youth Charities for 2024, the organization continues to demonstrate exceptional value in supporting children and families.
