The total number of users that visited the BOE Report for July was 205,010(a 571% increase year over year). A large part of the jump in traffic was due to more and more people in the United States visiting the site. Canada weekly rig count up 17
Canadian drillers have increased total utilization by 17 rigs this week as operations slowly commence. This is the 5th straight week western Canada has added rigs to its oilpatch. The total count sits at 119. Alberta added the most (12 rigs), increasing its total working fleet from 67 to 79. Oil drilling rigs have eclipsed gas drilling for the first time since February this year. Current counts sit at 60 and 56 respectively. Rig counts are still substantially lower than normal. Oil Producers in U.S. Add to Rig Fleet for a Fifth Week
U.S. oil producers are continuing to return to the shale patch. Rigs targeting crude capped their first five-week gain since August, rising by 3 to 374 in the period ended July 29, according to Baker Hughes Inc. data released Friday.
