BEIJING–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The 6th International Offshore Engineering Technology & Equipment Exhibition (China Maritime 2016) will be held at Beijing New International Exhibition Center on March 29-31, 2016, simultaneously with the 16th China International Petroleum & Petrochemical Technology and Equipment Exhibition (cippe 2016). CM 2016 will be jointly organized by China Association of National Shipbuilding Industry, China Association of Oceanic Engineering, China Classification Society, Chinese Society of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, China Shipowners’ Association and Beijing Zhenwei Exhibition Co., Ltd.

CM 2016 will gather 16 national delegations from Germany, US, France, UK, Korea, Norway, Italy, Russia, Finland, Denmark and Spain. Exhibitors will include China Classification Society, DNV and BV, as well as state-owned Chinese companies including CNPC, Sinopec, CNOOC, CSIC and CSSC, private Chinese giants including Tidfore, L & H, CIMF RAFFLES and GET, world-class international giants including ExxonMobil, Gazprom, Caterpillar, Honeywell, Hempel, Rital and Pentair, and industry clusters including Tianjin Harbor Industrial Park and Nantong Delegation, to showcase the latest offshore equipment products and technologies. It is worth mentioning that the Alberta Delegation of Canada and Scottish Development International (SDI) Delegation comprising well-known local companies reflect their strong interest in China and the value of China’s oil and gas market.

Meanwhile, CM 2016 will also gather offshore support vessel owners such as Ulstein (Norway), Bourbon (France), Tidewater (US), Van Oord (the Netherlands), Icon Offshore (Malaysia), McDermott (US), POSH Semco (Singapore), Bhagwan Marine (Australia), COSCO, COSL, CSTanker, Sinotrans-CSC and COSCO-Shipyard to seek suppliers and partners. Besides, over 100 professional purchasing groups are expected to attend.

Following last year’s success, CM 2016 will continue to present the Public Service Ship Area, which is expected to attract famous public service ship and lifeboat companies, as well as Chinese government purchasers. With the ongoing development and safeguard of the South China Sea, a fleet of advanced medium and large-sized public service ships will be necessary.

Simultaneously with CM 2016, 2016 Marine Oil/Gas New Technologies and Investments Beijing Int’l Summit and 2016 Offshore Equipment Technology Application and Trends Beijing International Forum will also be held to discuss the outlook and opportunities in the global oil and gas industry during the 13th Five-year Plan period. Industry insiders revealed that China’s National Energy Administration is focusing on accelerating the domestic development of world-class natural gas liquefaction and offshore engineering equipment.

CM 2016 aims to leverage the international vision of Beijing to build a high-end expo platform covering the entire global offshore industry, accelerating offshore engineering technology and equipment exchange and cooperation, and promoting leading offshore engineering technologies and products.
