Canada's MEG Energy Corp has asked Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) for a three-year delay to the approval process of a proposed oil sands project in the province, because of what it called continuing difficulties, the Globe and Mail reported. Canada weekly rig count down 4 to 240
Canada’s fleet of active drilling rigs shrank from 244 to 240 since last week according to data from Baker Hughes. Total drilling count was 240 at February 28. 163 rigs were drilling for oil; 77 for natural gas. The drilling activity in Alberta increased from 152 to 159 since last week.
