Oil gains on U.S. inventory drawdown, Gulf of Mexico storm
Oil prices rose more than 2% on Wednesday after industry data showed U.S. inventories fell more than expected and as major U.S. producers evacuated rigs in the Gulf of Mexico before a storm. U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures climbed $1.28 to $59.11 by 1136 GMT, after hitting a session high of $59.31.
