In one of the longest horizontal wells ever drilled in the US with total measured depth over 28,000 feet and 144 stages, an operator in the Utica Basin needed to streamline its millout procedure to increase cycle time and begin production faster. Typically, one drill bit is only able to mill out up to 60-70 plugs per trip requiring operators to pull the tubing to snub point, snubbing out, replacing the bit, snubbing back in, and resuming drilling, which is a time consuming and costly process. Quit wasting money Hot-Oiling waxed off wells
Oil wells often hang up once wax and asphaltenes build up on the sucker rods systems. When the oil temperature cools from the reservoir when flowing to the surface, the heavy hydrocarbons can solidify causing headaches for pumping oil wells. Not only will this wax buildup impede production, but it also causes additional stress to the pumping equipment and can accelerate downhole failures. It is a very common practice for operators to call out a hot oiler to reverse circulate fluid to clean [Read more]

Made in Alberta: A Low-Cost Solution to the Methane Emissions Problem
Upcoming methane emissions regulations are driving major changes in wellsite designs. As of 2021 in BC and 2022 in Alberta, you may no longer vent fuel gas for pneumatics and alternatives can be expensive. New emission regulations are coming to legacy wellsites as well. By 2022 in BC, all gas pneumatic devices will be required to vent less than 6 scf/hr. In most cases where valves throttle, like chokes or pressure control valves, dynamic venting of the actuator can be an order of magnitude [Read more]
