May production impacted by wildfires- a sneak peek into Q2 volumes by company, with results for public and private producers – BOE Intel

Advantage Energy press released a handful of new wells and production rates this morning. To save our readers some time, we've gone ahead and provided the public data for those interested in following up on these wells. This private company drilled a huge oil well, has spud follow up locations nearby, and has been consolidating land in the area

North 40 Resources caught our eye in this month's TOP WELL REPORT. It's not every month we see a well from the Basal Quartz formation as one of the top oil producers in Western Canada, but in April that's exactly what happened. North 40 had a well that produced almost 25,000 barrels of oil in the month, averaging about 828 b/d. Pipestone Energy consolidates land position – adds 1,792 net hectares of mineral rights – BOE Intel

BOE Intel users may have noticed on our mineral rights transfer tool that Pipestone Energy was recently able to consolidate some land around its core Montney position. On June 9, we noticed a mineral rights transfer go through from Rocky Old Man Energy to Pipestone for 1,792 net hectares. This mineral rights transfer is shown on the BOE Intel map below. TOP WELL REPORT – April volumes – Ovintiv gets knocked off of top spot on the natural gas side while 8 different companies have top oil wells

The April data is out for the highest producing oil and gas wells in Canada. As always, we use calendar day production metrics so these are real volumes produced in the month. A&D update – Spur Petroleum non-core asset sale – see who the buyer was on BOE Intel

BOE Intel has picked up on another small A&D transaction. Spur Petroleum appears to be disposing of some small, non-core Dunvegan assets. What we can see so far is that 13 wells, 2 facilities and 2 pipelines are pending approval from the AER for transfer to HWN Energy. Also, 1,632 net hectares of mineral rights have been transferred from Spur to HWN. A&D update – More than 450,000 net hectares of mineral rights change hands in May – BOE Intel

A sneak peek into Tamarack Valley’s Q2 production – BOE Intel

On BOE Intel,  we can now see gross licensed production for all of our public and private companies with a single click, with public well data sourced from Petro Ninja. Keep in mind that gross licensed production only accounts for wells licensed to the company, and assumes 100% working interest. Headwater Exploration achieves record gross licensed production in April – BOE Intel

Thanks to the excellent amount of public data out there, we no longer have to wait until quarterly reporting season to find out how production is trending for producers in Western Canada. And thanks to BOE Intel, we can view production data on a monthly basis with a single click. Take Headwater Exploration for example.
