A&D alert – Gear Energy to dispose of 93 wells, 15 facilities and 2 pipelines in non-core asset sale- BOE Intel

Gear Energy and TOP Oil Production Ltd. have filed an application with the AER to transfer 93 wells, 15 facilities and 2 pipelines from Gear to TOP Oil Production. That application is currently listed as Pending AER approval, but was spotted by our tools at BOE Intel. For Gear, it appears to be a non-core asset disposition as the company has not been active in the area where the disposition is focused. TOP WELL REPORT – May volumes – Crescent Point’s Montney acquisition begins to bear fruit already, while Ovintiv natural gas dominance continues

The May data is out for the highest producing oil and gas wells in Canada. As always, we use calendar day production metrics so these are real volumes produced in the month. This private company continues to consolidate its Duvernay land position – adding 2,624 net hectares in transfers from land brokers – BOE Intel

It was just a week ago that we published a Private Company Review for Artis Exploration, and now our mineral rights transfer tool has picked up more activity from the company. This week we noticed on BOE Intel that Artis Exploration has continued to consolidate its land holdings in the Duvernay East Shale Basin, increasing its crown mineral rights by 2,624 net hectares. May production impacted by wildfires- a sneak peek into Q2 volumes by company, with results for public and private producers – BOE Intel

The month of May was a difficult one for many oil and gas producers in Western Canada as a result of the early start to wildfire season. Canadian producers did an excellent job ensuring the safety of people and operations, although many producers had to curtail volumes in May. To save our readers some time, we've gone ahead and provided the public data for those interested in following up on these wells. This private company drilled a huge oil well, has spud follow up locations nearby, and has been consolidating land in the area

North 40 Resources caught our eye in this month's TOP WELL REPORT. It's not every month we see a well from the Basal Quartz formation as one of the top oil producers in Western Canada, but in April that's exactly what happened. North 40 had a well that produced almost 25,000 barrels of oil in the month, averaging about 828 b/d. Pipestone Energy consolidates land position – adds 1,792 net hectares of mineral rights – BOE Intel

BOE Intel users may have noticed on our mineral rights transfer tool that Pipestone Energy was recently able to consolidate some land around its core Montney position. On June 9, we noticed a mineral rights transfer go through from Rocky Old Man Energy to Pipestone for 1,792 net hectares. This mineral rights transfer is shown on the BOE Intel map below.
